Jac: Making big decisions can be one of the most difficult things to have to do! And I’ve noticed it’s significantly more problematic when your heart and mind are disconnected…
Do you have any tips for reconnecting the heart and mind to help us all discern answers more clearly?
Jeri: I agree—the heart and mind connections are so important. When disconnected it is really hard to receive much needed inspiration.
I have found that routines are beneficial. I have a set schedule that I follow every morning that includes prayer, journaling, scripture study and meditation. It helps me stay connected. If I miss that routine I feel totally off and it's hard for me to accomplish anything.
Do you have additional suggestions that work for you in keeping that connection?
Jac: Routines are definitely helpful in so many ways—especially routines of prayer, journaling, scripture study and pondering/meditation. Those are all vital in that heart-mind connection, as well as the decision-making process.
I have also found it helpful to do any or all of the following:
1. Surrender. To me, this means letting go of all attachments to outcomes, trusting God to do His work, and be open to His will.
2. Clear emotions and any kind of blocks preventing clear communication between the heart and brain.
3. Breathe. Sometimes we just have to slow down, be still, and allow ourselves to feel God.
4. Visualize the connection between my heart and mind, and ask what it needs to be nourished.
5. Eat nourishing foods. The foods we eat make a difference in how we feel, and we make better decisions when we feel well.
6. Exercise. It’s great for more than just physical health. It’s also very necessary for mental, emotional and spiritual health—which means it’s also great for that heart-mind connection.
Jeri: These are all great suggestions. I would just add that its important to be consistent in order to keep the heart-mind connection strong.
If you are ready to feel more connected between your heart and your mind, see the dose of enlightenment below.
Also, to keep that connection well-maintained, choose one or more of the above suggestions and implement every day—it only takes a few minutes.
Love from Jeri and Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: heart disconnected from the mind
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how heart disconnected from the mind applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 63 + 937 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “sixty-three plus nine-thirty-seven equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
