I pulled one of my left glute muscles a few years ago. It didn’t even make sense how it happened—because NOTHING had happened. It just suddenly appeared one day. It hurt to walk, and certain movements—like sitting down and getting back up—were difficult and painful.
This was problematic, because I was supposed to go on my first ever canyoneering trip in a few days… I used essential oils, cleared emotions, did some sol healing (sol = speed of light), etc…
I was healed to a point, but I couldn’t get it back to 100%—it felt like it was stuck with 15–20% more healing to go. I explained to our guide my issue and asked him if I would be required to do anything that could further injure the vulnerable muscle, or if there was any reason this would put me in danger while on this particular canyoneering adventure…
He thought I was trying to get out of the trip! Nope. I just needed to feel confident that I wouldn’t be creating problems for myself or others by going. After a short discussion, we quickly came to the conclusion that I would be ok.
There was only one place where I had a bit of an issue, but my guide was able to help me through that spot without too much trouble.
When we got back to the truck, my pain was completely gone. I had done so much work to heal before going canyoneering, but for whatever reason, adventuring and exerting myself in nature was exactly what I needed to finish processing that work.
Looking back, I think the guy I had been dating (long distance relationship) at that time was definitely a pain in my butt, and that is likely where the issue stemmed from. I don’t think it was a coincidence that the pain arrived around the same time he got into town. He was always pushing my boundaries.
If you have a pain in your butt—literally or figuratively—there is a dose of enlightenment below!
And remember, sometimes physical activity, adventure, and/or nature can be great way to help process the work you have already been doing!
Love from Jac
PS Canyoneering is an incredible experience!! I hope for more canyoneering opportunities in the future :)

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: pain in the butt
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how pain in the butt applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 127 + 873 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “one-twenty-seven plus eight-seventy-three equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
