Jeri: When my beautiful mother was living her last couple of days in this world, I had the assurance that her time was near. An answer to prayer, a few months previous, let me know that she would pass peacefully in her sleep and she wouldn’t need to worry about going to a hospital. I had a conversation with my dear mom about it, and we both felt a sweet confirmation of peace.
It was Thanksgiving holiday and my youngest sister hosted my entire family. My sons flew in from Florida and Missouri to bring their little girls to meet their great-grandma. It was as if we all knew her time was near.
Thanksgiving Day I watched my mom enjoy her last meal, and interact with my children and grandchildren—she knew this was her last goodbye. I looked on as she slept in a recliner, in and out of consciousness and listened to her raspy breath. My heart ached with each irregular rise and fall of her chest—yet I felt happy for her.
Do you remember that Jac?
Jac: How could I forget!? It was the best Thanksgiving ever—until an overly concerned party showed up and decided Grandma needed to go to the hospital. Out of all the people in the house, she was the only one who thought that. Everyone else recognized that Grandma was preparing to transition to a better place.
She tried to convince everyone to take her side, and got contentious and was angry when nobody agreed with her. I do feel for her because I know she was just scared to lose her grandma and was in denial that her time was near. I she didn’t know that my grandma had previously let her daughters know that she didn’t want any life-saving measures taken.
Jeri: It really was so sad.
We had to return to Idaho and as soon as we left, my mom was taken to the local hospital and then transported by ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, where they started life saving measures which went against her wishes stipulated in her living will.
Jac: It’s a classic, but very sad, example of caring too much. Sometimes we cross boundaries in an attempt to care for someone, thinking we know best. But if we don’t have all the information to adequately understand the situation, it can actually cause harm to others.
My grandma passed away in a cold hospital with IVs coming out of her arms instead of peacefully in a loving home during her sleep.
If you find yourself feeling overly concerned about someone or something, please seek full understanding of the situation before taking action. Healthy communication can prevent you from crossing boundaries and agency. There’s a dose of enlightenment below to help bring you back into balance.
Love from Jeri and Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: overly concerned
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how overly concerned applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 79 + 921 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “seventy-nine plus nine-twenty-one equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.

The Doses of Enlightenment come from the M: Collaborations with the Divine Doctor book by Jaclyn Taylor. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet and want to learn more about how this works, you can get one here:
