Jeri: Did you know that there’s a deep psychological connection between your hair and your emotions!?
Jac: That’s fascinating. So, have you ever had a bad hair day?
Jeri: We all have! It's unbelievable how a seemingly insignificant knot or a misplaced strand can ruin our day. On the flip side, a fabulous hair day can make us feel like we are on top of the world!
In fact, research suggests “that when we have a bad hair day, it can trigger feelings of insecurity and lower self-esteem. On the contrary, rocking a killer hairstyle boosts our confidence, making us feel invincible.”
Jac: Do you have a personal story you can share to illustrate this?
Jeri: I do. Years ago, I submitted my perfect, professional resume to a law office. I was applying for the position of office manager. Although I had never worked for a law practice, according to the job description, I was very well qualified for the job.
The resume built up my strengths, and it wasn’t long before I received a reply. I was exactly the type of person they were looking for and they wanted an interview. It sounded so promising…
However, I never pursued that interview or the job. The old enemy of self-doubt crept in. I felt like the resume made me sound too good. I didn’t believe in what I could do, or what I said.
My clothes weren’t professional enough. My hair wasn’t nice enough. I felt like an impostor.
Sadly, feelings of inadequacy and not accepting myself held me back from pursuing that career path.
Jac: That is sad. It makes me wonder what your hair looked like back then… ;)
Jeri: I hated it! It had a weird ledge it the back. It was supposed to be a bob, but it seemed to have two lengths instead of one… It was NOT my favorite haircut!
Jac: A lot of those emotions you mentioned throughout your story have something in common: they are all stored in the hair!
Do you feel like you would have gone for the job if you’d had a different haircut back then? One that you loved…?
Jeri: Honestly, I can’t say… It was so long ago. And I felt like I had built myself up more than I was used to, so I was feeling like an imposter.
Jac: Interesting…
Perhaps you attracted that bad haircut due to the trapped emotions you were struggling with at that time… ??
Jeri: Ew! I guess it’s possible.
Jac: Haha. Ultimately, we do create our lives with our thoughts... Are you willing to take responsibility at that level for the bad haircut?
Jeri: Yes.
Jac: Great! Let’s clear that energy with the dose of enlightenment below.
Love from Jeri and Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: not believing in what you do and say (self-doubt / imposter syndrome)
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how not believing in what you do and say (self-doubt / imposter syndrome) applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 61 + 939 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “sixty-one plus nine-thirty-nine equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
