I was feeling cranky. I was tired of practicing the stupid song over and over with my three sisters. I wanted to quit. I was feeling hungry and tired. I just wanted to be done.
My dad had a great idea. He led our little quartet and my mom to our parent’s bedroom where we could practice in front of the large vanity mirror. He wanted us to be showmen and smile while we sang. He seriously thought watching myself with a grumpy face would help me snap out of it.
It didn’t work. It only added fuel to my fire. At first, my older sisters thought my miserable face was hilarious, but that didn’t last long. As soon as dad informed all of us that we had to sing in front of the mirror until e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e. could smile, the pressure from them was on.
Experiences like this made me feel like I never really belonged in my family. I felt like I was different… lost and discarded. In my young mind I felt like my family had abandoned me.
Abandonment issues, or the fear of being abandoned, often stems from past experiences like childhood trauma, neglect or loss and can contribute to anxiety.
It can manifest in different ways such as, fear of close personal relationships, having trouble trusting others, feeling like you have to give up what you want in order to please others, and feeling a need to be clingy.
These issues can impact your relationships and overall well-being, leaving you feeling insecure and anxious.
Know there is hope, and you can heal.
Here is my #1 self-help tip to overcome your abandonment issues:
Prayerfully spend time every day using M: Collaborations with the Divine Doctor. Dig deep in order to uncover and release your childhood trauma.
Seek to understand truth and develop a sense of compassion for everyone concerned… compassion can help reduce blame and criticism for you and others who were involved.
If you are ready to begin healing your abandonment wounds, see the dose of enlightenment below.
With love,
Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotions are: abandonment issues
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how abandonment issues applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 88 + 912 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “eighty-eight plus nine-twelve equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
