"No misfortune is so bad that whining about it won't make it worse.” (Jeffrey R. Holland)
Jac: I love that quote. In fact, I love that entire talk he gave. It’s called “Tongue of Angels” and he teaches about how powerful words are and we have to be careful not to dish out curses, but rather to serve blessings with our words.
It also reminds me of some things Don Miguel Ruiz talks about in his book The Four Agreements. He writes that every word we speak is either light magic (a blessing) or dark magic (a curse).
Complaining, especially when it becomes chronic, gives off super negative vibes, which would put it into the curse category. It can be an easy trap to fall into when things get tough and/or when you’re around other people who like to complain.
You know that they say, “misery loves company.” And so do complainers. Lol.
Jeri: True. Complaining, especially when it becomes chronic, gives off super negative vibes, which would put it into the curse category. It can be an easy trap to fall into when things get tough and/or when you’re around other people who like to complain.
Jac: That’s very well said. Do you have any tips or tricks that you have used to pull yourself out of the energy of complaining?
Jeri: Honestly, along with prayer, a good session using doses of enlightenment is my go to. It works so fast, is easy, raises my vibration and positivity, and I always feel 100% better afterwards.
What are your tips?
Jac: I completely agree with everything you said. I also find that gratitude is a game changer. It helps me focus on the good things, and on the silver linings… In fact, when I keep a gratitude journal regularly, I am much less likely to fall into complaining.
Jeri: Yes! Gratitude definitely creates big shifts! It’s hard to complain when you are grateful.
If you are ready to shift your focus to a more positive perspective, see the dose of enlightenment below.

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: chronic complaining
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how chronic complaining applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 124 + 876 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “one-twenty-four plus eight-seventy-six equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
