Committing Acts of Warfare Against Yourself

Jac: I decided to look up the word hostility, and an interesting definition came up: “act of warfare.”

Jeri: Wow. That is an emotion that most people wouldn’t want to own. When you think of an act of warfare, you typically think of acts against someone else, but it’s important to understand that most often that hostility is directed at ourselves. We are perpetrating warfare against our own health and well-being.

Jac: That’s a significant perspective. How have you seen people war against themselves?

Jeri: Holding feelings of low self worth, not forgiving themselves, holding onto resentment, guilt, hate, addictions, self-harm, to name a few.

Jac: And how would one lay down those weapons of war against themselves?

Jeri: I think it’s addressing it very prayerfully. Spend some time with God and identify how your feeding the hostility. I think when people have that hostile emotion, they are aware that it’s there, even though they maybe haven’t owned it yet.

Jac: Perhaps they prefer to project that hostility outward—like put it on others by blaming someone else. I know there has been times that I’ve been angry about something and thought I was angry at a certain person because of something they did, but then when I dug into the issue, I realized I was actually angry at myself, but had been directing it at other people.

Jeri: In order to heal, it is so important that we take responsibility for our own emotions.

Jac: Truth. It’s impossible to heal anytime we are placing blame on someone or something else. And sometimes it’s our own physical, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual bodies that suffer the most.

Jeri: Agreed. If you are ready to lay down your weapons of war—against yourself and others—see the dose of enlightenment below.

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: hostility

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how hostility applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 72 + 928 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “seventy-two plus nine-twenty-eight equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
