Don’t Stuff It

“I don’t know what we will do if your dad doesn’t make it. We will have to sell the farm and the animals. I just wouldn’t be able to take care of everything,” Mom said, her voice filled with sadness.

Dad was in the Veteran’s Hospital in Salt Lake, 150 miles away from our little home town. He was diagnosed with Colitis and underwent surgery to remove his colon and most of the ileum. It was a tough surgery with weeks spent in the hospital recovering.

Mom had never shared her concern of the possibility of my dad dying before. She was always so brave and upbeat—even then, she was brave. Brave for me and my little sister.

Thinking about losing my dad was devastating—but having to sell the horses and losing him was too much to comprehend. Even though I felt so uncertain in that moment, and had no idea what the future would bring, I knew in my heart that I needed to show courage for my mom. She had enough to worry about without me adding to her grief.

There are so many things and situations happening around you that can cause you to feel uncertain about life, and about the future.

Here are 5 tips to help when you are feeling uncertain:

1. Acknowledge it. Don’t stuff it down, because it will resurface at a later date. Use Doses of Enlightenment to clear the fear of feeling uncertain. Emotional release is a powerful tool that will make life easier and give you a clearer perspective.

2. Set a routine and stick to it. Following a routine in the morning and at night will give you a chance to focus on the positive things in your life and will help you make time for things you enjoy—like reading, communicating with God, listening to music, dancing or exercising.

3. Control what you can. Sudden changes in your life can leave you feeling like you have no control. Embrace what you can control, such as; how you react to the situation, limit the time you spend on media, focus on changing your thoughts to positive ones and learn to understand your emotions. Once again, doses of enlightenment is an incredible tool to help you control what you can.

4. Pray for peace. Combine your prayers with journaling. This will assist you in receiving personal revelation and answers that are specific to you and your situation. It also helps you know that Heavenly Father is aware of you. His answer will bring peace to your heart.

5. Emotional connection. Do not isolate yourself. You need others more than ever when you are dealing with the uncertainties that life brings. Open up a dialog and share your thoughts and feelings. Just talking to another human will help your burdens be lighter.

When you think about it, I’m sure you could add other tips to this list—like, do whatever it takes to find and hold on to your joy, and reach out to serve others. These are all things that will help you stay grounded and focused on the positive.

If you’ve been feeling uncertain, say the dose of enlightenment below and then implement a tip or two or more.

With love,

Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: uncertain

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how uncertain applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 120 + 880 = E

Say it out loud with intent: "one-twenty plus eight-eighty equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.

The Doses of Enlightenment come from the M: Collaborations with the Divine Doctor book by Jaclyn Taylor. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet and want to learn more about how this works, you can get one here:
