A while back, Jaclyn posted a reel on social media about grounding. She shared so many wonderful ways to ground and asked for people to share their favorites.
One of our very imaginative friends said that sometimes she grounds by imagining she is “taking a swim and watching the sea creatures.”
(If you’d like to watch the grounding reel that sparked this conversation, you can find it here.)
I love that! There are really no limits to grounding—and no limits to your imagination.
I soon started thinking about John Lennon’s song, “Imagine”, and wondered what inspiring thoughts he had to offer through his music. I could remember the tune, but not the words, so I looked them up.
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today… Aha-ah…
Reading those words made me realize how differently imagination can be used—to build beauty, or to strip meaning away.
It is rather tragic and very UNimaginitive, in my opinion, and that is just the first verse! I’m so glad Lennon wasn’t in charge of creating the earth! Haha!
Sometimes you may feel you lack an imagination, or that you’ve never had an imagination. I don’t believe that to be true. I believe we all came to earth with the ability to create beautiful things.
As a small child your imagination was in full force, whether you were playing in the dirt with your trucks, or playing house with your dolls, you were using your imagination.
Here are some tips to reclaim your imagination:
1. Spend time playing with small children. Make an effort to see things through their eyes as you let them teach you the real meaning of imagination. Remember to laugh a lot while doing this exercise!
2. Sit down with a color book, colored pencils or paints. The act of choosing which colors to use and where, opens your eyes to see in a more imaginative way. If you don’t like the outcome, you can envision something better the next time. Think of it as a way to practice using your imagination.
3. Fire up your imagination by listening to or performing music. Music helps you reclaim your focus and gets those creative juices flowing.
4. Say the Dose of Enlightenment below to clear the emotion behind feeling unimaginative.
Inspired play, artistic creations (even if you think you aren't good at it), embracing music and clearing emotions are all enjoyable and simple ways to wake up and reclaim your imagination.
I hope you allow yourself to have fun with this one.
With love,
Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: unimaginative
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how unimaginative applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 76 + 924 = E
Say it out loud with intent: "seventy-six plus nine-twenty-four equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
