Jeri: When I want to do something, I do it right away.
Jac: I like to think that about myself too. However, I think I procrastinate way too much—even when I’m excited about something. I tend to have big plans and big ideas… and that can get overwhelming really quick. Also, I like to have the perfect conditions to do certain things. And that holds me back.
Do you ever procrastinate when you don’t want to do something?
Jeri: Yes. Like writing this newsletter. Sometimes I procrastinate that. I like doing it, but it takes me a while to think of things and honestly, I’d rather do something easier.
I procrastinate getting dressed—I’d rather wear my pajamas. I procrastinate cleaning. There are so many ways I procrastinate when I’d prefer to be doing something else... I’d rather be studying.
Jac: So really, it’s a comfort thing for both of us. I’d never thought of procrastinating being a comfort thing. I always looked at it as a laziness issue—until now.
Jeri: You’re right. It is about comfort. It would be interesting to take a deep dive into that idea and see what else comes up… because procrastination is a thing for me, even though I didn’t want to own it at first.
Jac: It’s interesting to think about, too, because we all know that stepping outside of our comfort zone is how we grow! And we all know that procrastination stunts our growth.
How do you overcome your procrastination tendencies?
Jeri: Tackle the hard stuff first—not because it’s easy, but because it frees you. It clears space, calms your mind, and often creates the momentum we’ve been waiting for.
Jac: I agree. You just have to sit down and do it. It’s the only way it will ever get done!
If you're done choosing temporary comfort over lasting progress—it’s time to tackle the hard stuff first. See the dose of enlightenment below.

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: procrastination
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how procrastination applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 107 + 893 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “one-zero-seven plus eight-ninety-three equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
