Forgiveness Heals

I felt like something was very wrong with my digestive system. I'd been feeling off for a few weeks. Then one Sunday after church, I decided it was time to get in touch with my body and figure out what was going on.

I googled the symptoms I was feeling and was a bit surprised that bowel obstruction came up. Everything pointed to a visit to the hospital emergency room and possible surgery.

If you know me, ‘relying on the arm of flesh’ wasn’t an option!

By this time, I was feeling pretty puny, dealing with pain and bloating, had no appetite, and was extremely sleepy.

That evening, I employed the help of Jac, my daughter and business partner, to give me a foot zone, do some emotional release, and some sol healing work (sol = speed of light).

The gates of hell seemed to open up as she worked on me. Negative feelings that I had never expressed were quickly rising to the surface.  I was locked in a prison of unforgiveness because of trust issues—I was hanging onto decades of stupid, ugly grudges.

My friend, it’s not worth it to hold onto your grudges. If you do, your body will find a way to wake you up and let you know it’s time to forgive—just like mine did—thankfully.

You may feel justified in not forgiving someone because of horrific trauma that you have experienced, or because someone has shamed you over and over again, causing you to feel worthless.

It’s important to remember that forgiveness heals. Forgiveness is not for the offender, but for you, the offended.

Reviewing my past pain and shame, I quickly realized the people I was grudging against wasn’t hurting them, it was hurting me and manifesting as disease in my body.

Doing the work, by releasing associated emotions and handing them over to the Savior, helped put my healing on a fast track. I’m so grateful for the tools Heavenly Father has given us and for his help and inspiration in healing.

If you're ready to find more forgiveness, hope and healing, I encourage you to look for any negative feelings that have gone unexpressed in your life, and then see the dose of enlightenment below.

With love,

Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: negative feelings going unexpressed

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how negative feelings going unexpressed applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 82 + 918 = E

Say it out loud with intent: "eighty-two plus nine-eighteen equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
