Jeri: Oh man, it's too soon for summer to be over, but I can feel that extra chilly bite in the wind already...
Jac: I’m definitely not ready for cooler weather. It reminds me of that one year I actually HATED the cold and snow. It was dreadful.
Jeri: What happened?
Jac: I had gone to Island Park with a group of friends—this was several years ago. We stayed in one of those big cabins that can sleep about 50 people, so there was a pretty big group… The ones hosting the activity rented 8 snowmobiles for the whole day.
To get everyone in who wanted to ride, we had to divide the time up. My group went out that morning, and another group went out in the afternoon.
At the rental shop, the only helmet that fit me was a kids helmet with a visor. (I have a small head... haha!)
I attempted 3 times to buy a pair of goggles, just in case I didn't like using the visor, but the guy wouldn’t sell them to me. He told me I could flip up the visor easily to defog it, and insisted that people prefer that over goggles. I finally relented and decided to trust him because he seemed to know what he was talking about.
However, it was -15 degrees that morning, so the only thing that visor did for me was ice over on the inside, which prevented me from being able to see anything! So I had to ride with the visor up... With it down, I was driving blind.
To top it off, none of my gear was keeping me warm. My toes and fingers and face were frozen. And my body began to struggle to drive the machine very well. I didn’t know my way back, or I would have left—it would have been unwise to leave the group.
It was the most miserable experience of my life. And all I could feel was hatred for being so dang cold for so long! I hated winter for quite some time after that. And I still hate snowmobiling.
Jeri: Wow! That sounds like a traumatic experience. No wonder you are happy to hibernate in the winter!
It is never fun to be stuck in a situation that brings frustration and negative feelings—even that strong 4-letter word: HATE.
If you have found yourself in a situation that you hate, and are ready to bring more peace and gratitude back into you life, see the dose of enlightenment below!

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: standing in a situation you hate
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how standing in a situation you hate applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 79 + 921 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “seventy-nine plus nine-twenty-one equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
