I remember kneeling there, choking back sobs—feeling completely unworthy of receiving any help from Heaven, because of what I had done.

I’d been blinded by the emotions of the experience, and the persuasions of other people… I’d handled EVERYTHING wrong!

Even though I thought I didn’t deserve it, I reached out to my Heavenly Father in prayer and asked for forgiveness … and for help to do better in the future.

Immediate warmth spread throughout my body and I knew he had forgiven me—as undeserving as I was.

It was so quick and so complete. I was in awe of the goodness of God. I felt like he was thanking me for trusting Him to take it all away.

In my younger years, I would have beat myself up over and over and over for my stupidity. And even if I’d asked for Divine forgiveness, I wouldn’t have believed that He would have granted it to me.

I would have just held onto it and continued to punish myself while I blundered through life. 

But now I know the nature of God. I know how good He is, and how forgiving He is. We just have to turn to Him. 

If you have ever felt unworthy of receiving Divine guidance, please know that those feelings are not coming from God. He loves you more than you could ever imagine. And there is nothing you can ever do to change that. His arms are always open. 

I have seen and felt and experienced the truth of Cory Asbury’s lyrics from Reckless Love on multiple occasions: 

“There's no shadow You won't light up…

“Mountain You won't climb up…

“Coming after me…

“There's no wall You won't kick down…

“Lie You won't tear down…

“Coming after me…

“And I couldn't earn it, I don't deserve it, still, You give Yourself away…

God wants you back—no matter where you are... no matter where you’ve been.
