Hairy, Misbehaving Women

I’d just finished watching a gospel study video on YouTube when I saw a video interview pop up. I’d never heard of the podcaster or the person she had interviewed, but the title of the video caught my eye: “Frustration with Men Stops Now.”

At that point, I had already been clearing frustration with men for years and years…

(After a short marriage, I’ve been back in the dating scene for almost 23 years. I’ve dated a lot. Enough to see the same relationship patterns play out with different men over and over and over again.)

I understood that I am the common denominator in past failed relationships.

However, no matter how many emotions I cleared, how much I healed, how many of my own patterns I broke, or how understanding I tried to be… it just kept happening.

I had prayed so many times to know what I’m missing so I can break the cycle... so the title of that video really intrigued me.

Partly out of curiosity, and partly out of wanting to heal my relationship with men, I pushed play and began to watch the video. This 1.5 hour video shifted my entire perspective and I felt years and years of frustration melting away.

Heavenly Father taught me through that interview that I don't understand men. And that men don’t understand women.

Alison Armstrong, the woman who was interviewed, has studied men for a long time. She said that women view men as “hairy misbehaving women” and expect them to fall in line—essentially, women want men to act more like women.

A few days later, I got my hands on one of her other trainings called “Understanding Women” where she said that men view women as “softer, less hairy men” and expect them to stop being sensitive—essentially, men want women to act more like men.

Alison said that if you look at any other species on this planet, males and females are distinctly different. So why wouldn’t humans be the same!?

I know I can do better at learning to understand the true differences between men and women. Honestly, I think we all can!

We've got to get past our own interpretations of what we want those differences to be...

And to learn to see men as men (in their own divine nature as God created them)...

And to learn to see women as women (in their own divine nature as God created them).

If you are ready to clear your frustration with the opposite sex and honor the  divine nature of both men and women, see the dose of enlightenment below.

💜 Today’s emotion is: breaking laws of love, peace, and/or joy

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how breaking laws of love, peace, and/or joy applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 32 + 968 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “thirty-two plus nine-sixty-eight equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
