His wife called me in desperation. They were back in town for only a few days. She told me that he had been suffering from constant hiccups for three months. And not just your basic hiccup.
The painful ones that come with acid reflux. You know what I’m talking about, and you know they are not fun.
His hiccups had just taken a turn for the worse, and he felt needed immediate help. I didn’t have time to zone his feet, but I told her we could clear some emotions. It felt like that’s what he needed most anyway.
He wasn’t closed off to natural healing techniques. In fact, he loved getting his feet zoned.
However, he constantly rejected the homework and suggestions made by the people who zoned his feet, because he thought he already knew everything he needed to know.
Don’t get me wrong. He’s a good guy. Just kind of stubborn and unwilling to listen to ideas that aren’t his own.
When hiccups are constant and last for longer than one month, they are known as intractable hiccups. They are caused by inflammation of the esophagus.
One of the emotions that stores in the esophagus is: rejecting new ideas —especially when we feel certain we already know the answer.
I can only guess that he likely rejected counsel regarding new ideas in various areas of his life—and not just from the foot zone practitioners he had been seeing…
When she brought him over, he was willing to clear emotions, but not willing to dig very deep—and again, he wasn’t willing to listen to any suggestions.
He left feeling somewhat better due to his hiccups calming down some from the emotions he did let go of, but sadly, he continued on with the hiccups for several more weeks.
I can’t help but think that if he only could have felt safe enough to: first, dig deep into his emotions; and second, to listen and try something different than he had already been doing; that perhaps he would have received better results, and quite possibly, complete healing.
So here’s my tip: keep yourself open to new ideas! And if you’re not sure about something, take it to God in prayer to see if it’s something that might be right for you.
It might not be.
But then… what if it’s the very answer you have been praying for!?
If you find yourself resistant to new ideas—or struggling to receive guidance—there’s a Dose of Enlightenment below to help you open up more space for healing.
Love from Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: rejecting new ideas
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how rejecting new ideas applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 118 + 882 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “one-eighteen plus eight-eighty-two equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
