She walked past me, head hanging down. She looked so distraught… lost. I prayed she would be okay. Before long I saw her walking back the way she came. I thought she must have forgotten something.
My 30-minute assignment at that moment, was standing at the door of the assembly room of the Idaho Falls Temple. Within a few short minutes I saw her walking towards me again, she seemed so lonely and confused. I reached out and touched her arm.
“Are you okay,” I asked?
“No,” she replied.
“Is there anything I can do for you?”
“No.”
“What is your name? I can pray for you. Would that be alright?”
“Yes. It’s Elizabeth.” (name has been changed)
“My mom just died. We’ve been inseparable for the last 4 years since my dad died.”
My heart broke for her and I asked if I could give her a hug. and she held on as if I was a life line that had just been tossed to her in a stormy sea.
Have you ever felt as if you have lost your entire support system and that your foundation has been ripped out from under you? It can be devastating.
You may feel like your hopes have been shattered and/or that your confidence has been completely destroyed. That is such a difficult and frightening place to be in.
I am so grateful that Heavenly Father knew exactly what Elizabeth needed in that brief moment, and that I was able to be a tiny part of it.
Father in Heaven knows you. He understands your pain and suffering. He knows exactly what you need—even before you know you need it. He knows who to place in your path to offer you comfort and compassion.
If you are hurting and have lost your hope and confidence, turn to Him and ask for the gift of comfort.
Remember that it is okay to grieve.
It is okay to let people love and serve you—no matter how brief or how long.
It’s okay to create a new support system.
It’s okay to take just one step at a time on your road to recovery, and to take as long as you need.
There are no time limits on grief.
Keep a record of the little miracles you see every day as you work to regain your balance and redesign your foundation. Journaling will help build your confidence and will fill your bucket with faith and hope.

With love,
Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: ungrounded
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how ungrounded applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 122 + 878 = E
Say it out loud with intent: "one-twenty-two plus eight-seventy-eight equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.

The Doses of Enlightenment come from the M: Collaborations with the Divine Doctor book by Jaclyn Taylor. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet and want to learn more about how this works, you can get one here:
