In her Activate play, my 14-year-old grand-daughter was playing Madame Zara, aka Sam, an undercover Pinkerton agent.
Opening night was delightful and she played her part perfectly. It was so much fun and I was looking forward to supporting her in her role every night for the duration of her performances.
The next night my husband didn’t want to go, which wasn’t a problem because I knew how much Jaclyn wanted to see the play. I was positive that we would be going together. It would be so fun!
“Mom, I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to an activity with a friend tonight… and then she is coming with me to the play.”
That was not the news I wanted to hear.
“Oh, great,” I tried not to snap, “I guess I will be going alone tonight. I suppose you expect me to save seats for you?”
Even though I didn’t intend for my words to sting, the comment elicited two responses within my daughter… it left her feeling bad and guilty. I really didn’t want her to feel either of those.
A few days later I was talking to Jac about the topic of this newsletter. I told her that the emotion ‘interfering with others’kept coming up over and over for me.
I tried to clear it, but it would come up again. I honestly could not see how I was interfering with others, because I try to be so careful to stay out of other people’s business.
I asked, “Jac, how do you see me interfering with others?”
“Well…” she said, “You know the other night…”
Then she proceeded to tell me how those two little lines made her feel like I was interfering, and that she felt like I wanted her to change her plans.
I really didn’t want her to change her plans… my words expressed my insecurity of going alone, and as I look closer, I can see that interfering has become a conscious habit for me… that is why I was totally missing it.
I am genuinely grateful that Jac was able to help me see what I was unable to see.
You may think this emotion doesn’t apply to you… but I encourage you to dig deep… you may find that you are also missing something that has been a conscious habit in your life… after all, a little comment here and a little comment there can be a small way that you are interfering with your loved ones and friends without recognizing it.
When you are ready, say the dose of enlightenment below to clear this less than obvious emotion.
With love,
Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotions are: interfering with others
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how interfering with others applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 157 + 843 = E
Say it out loud with intent: “one-fifty-seven plus eight-forty-three equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
