Managing High Anxiety

Jac: More and more people are dealing with anxiety. And for some, it’s quite extreme—even debilitating. According to your expertise in working with clients for 15 years, what do you see as some of the main causes are for such high anxiety?

Jeri: In my professional opinion, it is often triggered by an outside source that creates an internal problem. It’s not fun to feel like your heart is pounding out of your chest, and you break into a cold sweat. It can be frightening.

Jac: Indeed. Do you have any tips for calming high anxiety?

Jeri: Learning to understand it, and taking some time to identify the root cause is really important. You need to look at things like your diet, time spent on social media scrolling and emotional weaknesses—like insecurity, feeling worthless, comparison, feeling overwhelmed, and trying too hard to be perfect.

If you are dealing with any sort of trauma or PTSD you may recognize that certain triggers can bring on an anxiety attack. As my very wise husband would say… “don’t entertain the triggers”. When you know what those triggers are, it is much easier to avoid them.

Right now, for me, all of the political rhetoric is extremely stressful and I have to avoid it in order to protect myself from that high stress.

Also, spending time with the Lord everyday through prayer and scripture study is a godsend to help me stay grounded and away from falling into the anxiety trap.

Jeri: Do you have anything to add?

Jac: Those are fantastic tips. I would add that receiving healing techniques—like foot zoning, Craniosacral Dynamics, emotional release, etc—is also really helpful. I have several clients who have gone from almost constant high debilitating anxiety, to very manageable occasional circumstantial anxiety after receiving these techniques.

Also, there are some wonderful essential oils that help you calm and manage anxiety. Any of the citrus oils, tranquility, lavender, ylang-ylang, frankincense…

And sometimes you just need to cast out the adversary and his minions in the name of Jesus Christ.

Jeri: Yes! Those healing modalities and essential oils are extremely beneficial in managing anxiety.

If you are dealing with high stress or anxiety, use the tips that you feel will work for you, and then say the dose of enlightenment below.

Love from Jeri and Jac

Today’s emotion is: high anxiety

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how high anxiety applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 61 + 939 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “sixty-one plus nine-thirty-nine equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.

The Doses of Enlightenment come from the M: Collaborations with the Divine Doctor book by Jaclyn Taylor. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet and want to learn more about how this works, you can get one here:
