Measuring with the Right Stick

Growing up, my sister, Jo, was close to perfect. She was beautiful (still is) with her long, shiny, dark brunette hair and sparkly blue eyes. She was well-liked and always surrounded by her group of close friends—everyone loved her.

She was a hard worker, very obedient, diligent and excelled at everything she set her mind to. She could drive ‘Little Red,’ our old farm tractor, like nobody’s business when it was time to haul hay.

I am daughter number three, out of four girls. My oldest sister was 7 when I was born and Jo was 5 1/2. My dad was always proud of Jo, and held her up as an example to be like.

As an 11-year-old, Jo was easy to look up to—she was amazing and I was acutely aware of her awesomeness! Sadly, I was extremely unaware of my own self-worth.

I spent my days with my head in the clouds—day dreaming and fantasizing about life. I never really had any concrete goals because I didn’t even know what a goal was! I felt like I would never be able to measure up to Jo.

It is no secret that your life experiences shape who you are and who you believe yourself to be. Self-worth is the value you place on yourself—it comes from within, and has nothing to do with how other people view you.

The stick you use to gage how you measure up when you are unable to see your worth, is not a true measurement because you tend to look at things that are out of your control—such as how many likes you received on your social media post!

You are the only one who can determine your self-worth. You are worthy because you decide you are worthy—you decide you are enough.

You will know when you are measuring your self-worth with the right stick because you will feel a peace and calmness in your life that helps you endure life’s troubles. When life happens and things get shaken up, you easily return to peace and you feel grounded and centered.

Make a decision today to choose to see yourself as possessing great worth. You are more than enough! See the dose of enlightenment below to help you get started.

With love,

Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: unable to see own self-worth

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how unable to see own self-worth applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 58 + 942 = E

Say it out loud with intent: "fifty-eight plus nine-forty-two equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
