Mental-Pause

Jac: I remember sitting on a bench at church in Washington state with my aunt, uncle, and cousin. My poor aunt. The other three of us couldn’t sit still. It must have felt to her like there was a small earthquake happening.

Jeri: Haha! I remember those days when you would all constantly be moving your knees up and down. There were times when I joined in too!

Looking back, what do you think was the cause behind the agitation?

Jac: Hmmm… I know I used to often struggle with being able to sit still—especially at church and school (I’m sure you remember me as a toddler).

I remember at one point, in my late 20s, I couldn’t even sit all the way through church meetings. I would get super hot and have to get up and walk the halls for a few minutes to cool off. My roommate called it mental-pause. Haha!

Then one day, I learned about empathic gifts and shielding. I believe that I had been unknowingly feeling a lot of the things that were going on with other people… it was too much to process, so I had to move a lot to help.

Once I started shielding, a lot of those agitated movements stopped. Unless I get really tired. Then I find myself moving to keep myself awake.

Jeri: That makes so much sense. I always though that it was because I was drinking too much Pepsi! But I haven’t had any caffeine for years and sometimes I still find myself getting agitated when I have to sit still. I need to remember to shield… I’m sure that would help.

Jac: Yes, give it a try! I’m confident it will make a difference. It was life-changing for me.

If you struggle to sit still and find yourself making constant agitated movements, take a moment to shield and see what that does for you. (An easy and simple way to shield is to ask God through prayer for your spiritual armor and shielding.) Better yet, shield yourself before going into situations where you find yourself getting overwhelmed and agitated.

Today’s emotion is: agitated

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how agitated applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 133 + 867 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “one-thirty-three plus eight-sixty-seven equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
