Scrubbing Bubbles

They hadn’t even been gone 3 hours, when I heard them walk through the back door. “The trailer doesn’t have any water. We already went through the 50-gallon tank.”

Questions flooded my mind. How is that possible? There is no way they could use that much water in such a short time. Was there a leak?

The point of the matter was—they didn’t have time to answer any questions (or let me know that Charlie forgot to fill the tank) and just wanted to stock up on gallons of water and return to camp. They filled the back of the truck with 4-five-gallon jugs from our water storage and headed out.

What I didn’t know until the next day was…

They also took some large blue, gallon size laundry soap jugs that were clearly marked, ‘soapy water for cleaning’—plus a brand-new jug of Persil Laundry Detergent.

After I arrived at camp the next day, I found they had filled the water tank in the fifth wheel trailer with gallons of ‘soapy water for cleaning’, and about a cup of laundry detergent!

It felt like I was being blamed when they accusingly asked, “Why would you store soapy water?”

I blamed back, “Why didn’t you ask? I told you to take the 5-gallon jugs.”

To which they replied, “I can’t believe you would put soapy water in storage.”

I quipped, “They were marked “soapy water. Can’t you read?”

“Well, we can’t read in the dark!”

Then we laughed and laughed.

The toilet was self-cleaning, because every time it was flushed, bubbles did their job. When you turned on the sink faucets to wash hands or do dishes, a stream of bubbles flowed out.

If anyone cussed, all they needed to do was take a nice swish of water straight from the faucet to wash out the offending words!

Although the blame we were throwing back and forth was all in fun, most often, blame is not fun—especially when someone is being accused of something they did not do.

Blame is used when you, or someone else, don’t want to address your own deeper, negative emotions. In your mind, it feels easier to just place the blame on someone else so you don’t have to deal with the emotions that are boiling under the surface—emotions like shame, guilt, resentment, anger, etc.

If you pay attention when blame is placed on yourself, your loved ones, or that stupid driver that cut in front of you… you will be aware of the deeper emotion(s) that are ready to be uncovered.

See the Dose of Enlightenment below to let go of the blame game.

With love,

Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: blaming

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how blaming applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 41 + 959 = E

Say it out loud with intent: "forty-one plus nine-fifty-nine equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
