Take Care of the Pie!

Jeri: I decided to make pies for Thanksgiving this year. The last time I made a pie was over 40 years ago! I was carrying a pie from the kitchen table to the counter in order to put the top crust on.

All of a sudden I experienced an intense crippling pain in mid right foot, the cheap disposable pie pan buckled at the same time, and it fell from my hands onto the floor. I cried out in pain and anguish.

My sweet husband, who was helping out in the kitchen, didn’t know what to do as he looked from me to the pie, and back to me! I gritted my teeth and said, “Take care of the pie,” and hobbled to the sofa.

Jaclyn was then able to work on me, and you won’t believe what she found. Jac, would like to share that part of the story?

Jac: You struggling to find a positive place to allow for shifting and healing to happen. I could feel in your jaw area that you were holding back a lot of emotions.

I could feel a deep sadness that wanted to clear from your heart, but you seemed disconnected from those melancholy feelings. I told you what I was feeling and asked why you were sad, so that we could identify where it was coming from.

At one point you said, “I have so much to do. And I need to it. I need to get everything done.”

When I asked why, and suggested you simplify things, you thought for a moment and soon came to the root of your sudden crippling foot pain. You said, “I don’t have time to sit still. I asked you why, and you said, “Because I don’t want to grieve my mom today.”

Jeri: It still makes me sad to think about it. The day before Thanksgiving was the 2 year anniversary of her death. This year has been hard. I miss her so much. It has been hard to shake the sadness.

I think it would be a good idea to slow down and sit with those feelings for a while and maybe write them out and then do a session with doses of enlightenment—just because I know these feelings are running deep.

Jac: That sounds like a very wise thing to do. Let’s start with the dose of enlightenment below and then you can proceed as needed.

And for all of you who are feeling sad and don’t know why, or if you are feeling sad and pensive, please join us with that same dose of enlightenment below.

Love from Jeri and Jac

Today’s emotion is: melancholy

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how melancholy applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 68 + 932 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “sixty-eight plus nine-thirty-two equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.

The Doses of Enlightenment come from the M: Collaborations with the Divine Doctor book by Jaclyn Taylor. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet and want to learn more about how this works, you can get one here:
