The anger surfaced fast and unexpectedly. It was quick, biting and painful. It felt like I was unleashing the powers of hell. It was ugly and was certainly not associated with righteous indignation of any kind—because it was completely unwarranted.
Thoughts raced forward, utterly destroying my innocent target; the words harsh and critical.
After the tirade was unleashed, I felt so ashamed. I wanted to crawl into a hole and die. My true anger wasn’t about him… it was about me—my fears, and the way I was feeling about myself in that moment. All of those false, and critical opinions I projected onto him, were the lies I believed about myself.
I had to humble myself and prayerfully dig really deep to find the truth behind the horrific, uncontrollable rage. It was hard, but very needed and proved to be a huge blessing.
If you have found yourself in a place of harsh judgment and thinking critically of others, I challenge you to figure out why. Ask yourself:
What is inside of me that I have been unconsciously projecting onto someone else?
This is a difficult exercise, because honestly, seeing something in others that you don’t like or can’t stand about them, or find disgusting… you definitely do not want to find in yourself!
But I promise you, this will prove to be one of the most healing things you can do for yourself and your relationships.
Take some time today to prayerfully excavate the false beliefs you see in others so you can stop being critical of yourself and them. It will be time well spent.
Because when you uncover the lie behind the anger, it loses its power.
If you’re ready to release the false beliefs behind harsh judgment, see the dose of enlightenment below.
With love,
Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!
This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.
If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.
*******************************************************
Today’s emotion is: thinking critically of others
How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how thinking critically of others applies to you.
Dose of Enlightenment: 132 + 868 = E
Say it out loud with intent: "one-thirty-two plus eight-sixty-eight equals enlightenment.”
Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
