Uniquely Yours

My little sister was a natural gymnast on the ground, in the air, and on horseback. She was always figuring out some new trick while hanging from the clothesline, or jumping off the back of her horse.

She was fearless! I wished I was as talented as her, but my body refused to do the same contortions! My dad was absolutely delighted in her abilities. I wished he would look at me like that.

Did you know that when you look at someone else’s talents or abilities and want to claim them—you are constructing your very own wall of creative insecurity?

Doing this will block you from excelling in what you are truly great at.

Here are some tips to remove those blocks and claim your unique creativity:

1. Identify what brings you joy. If you could spend an entire day at home, doing only what you love, what would it be? Creating things out of what you love to do can open your world to new possibilities. If you love to read and study, maybe it’s time to write a book!

2. Be open to trying something new. For instance, if you love to color with crayons and markers, consider taking a class in watercolors and expand your creativity.

3. Practice. Devote time and set goals to improve your talents and skills. That is the best way to become great at what you love.

4. Look for patterns—things you do during your day that makes you feel happy, energized, or excited. Write them down and identify why you like to do them. This will help you gain new insights about yourself and your creativity.

5. Ask others about what they think you are good at. It is easy for your family and friends to see what you are good at. Positive feedback from those you trust will help you look at things you may not have thought of.

You are creating every single minute of every day—whether you are aware of your creation or not.

Being unaware promotes creative insecurity. When you are consciously aware of what you love and are creating every day, you will be able to successfully structure a great life that is uniquely yours.

If you are ready to change the way you are creating your life, see the dose of enlightenment below.

And don't be afraid to implement one (or more) of the above tips.

With love,

Jeri

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: creative insecurity

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how creative insecurity applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 100 + 900 = E

Say it out loud with intent: "one-hundred plus nine-hundred equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
