When I Thought I Had Something to Prove, God Proved Me Wrong

Have you ever felt like no matter what you do, you just can’t seem to break through on something important?

I have.

Sometimes I wonder if making reels and posts on social media are worth my time.

When something flops, it’s hard not to spiral into feeling like I need to prove my worth—to the world, to God, and honestly, to myself.

In the beginning, this social media adventure was going well. People were supportive and encouraging. But as you might know, the algorithms complicate everything.

So… I enrolled in courses to learn how to work with the algorithm so it doesn’t work against me. I’ve done what they have said. I have modeled the hooks they suggest for my niche. I’ve done all of the things I’ve learned so far.

And still my viewership dwindles. I could stack the evidence for you — honestly, it's kind of appalling — but don't worry I won't do that to you today.

In any case, I've been left wondering ...

Did I get lied to by the people I paid to teach me about the algorithm!?

I don’t think so—their advice is working well for everyone else.

Am I being suppressed because I speak the Truth about healing AND God’s role as the One who truly heals?

I don’t know.

I only know that I can’t seem to prove to the algorithms (or those who control them) that I’m worth a darn!!

Which sometimes makes me feel like I need to prove to myself and everyone else that I am worth a heck of a lot more than a darn!!

And that’s not only difficult, but it’s extremely frustrating. Sometimes I feel oppressed and hopeless. Like nothing I do will ever make a difference.

And then I remember that I’m not here to please the algorithms.

I am here to serve God by fulfilling my purpose—my mission. And I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing right now.

And maybe that’s the lesson.

To remember that I don’t have to prove myself to anyone (or anything).

I only need to do God’s will and follow His guidance.

So… whatever it is, my friend…

That thing that is so difficult, that you still feel called to pursue…

It is worth it.

Even if it only helps one person…

Even if it only changes you…

If you’re supposed to change course, God will let you know if or when you need to move on.

If you are ready to clear that need to ‘prove yourself, but don’t know how,’ so you can move forward with clarity and purpose, see the dose of enlightenment below.

💜 Today’s emotion is: need to prove self, but don’t know how

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how need to prove self, but don’t know how applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 86 + 914 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “eighty-six plus nine-fourteen equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
