Whodunnit?

One day, my friend found a large puddle of pee in her bathtub—it was definitely NOT water. She asked her kids about it and nobody fessed up. Try as she might, she couldn’t get any information out of any of them.

Basic human plumbing would point to one suspect over all the others. She has five daughters and one son. As you can imagine, she knew—without knowing—who had done it.

She just wanted some honesty without having to make accusations.

She finally told them that if whoever peed in the bathtub would tell the truth, he or she wouldn’t get into trouble. But if she found out who did it and he or she hadn’t come forward to tell the truth, he or she would be in trouble.

Her four-year old son finally admitted that it was him. When she asked him why he didn’t tell the truth when she first asked, he said it was because he thought he would get into trouble.

(In case you are wondering, he was just having a little fun seeing how far he could shoot from standing on top of the tub deck over to the opposite side of the bathtub lol.)

I think we have all experienced those times when we don’t own up to the things we’ve done—maybe due to fear of punishment, embarrassment, or the inability to look someone in the eyes and apologize for hurting them.

But the Truth is that we cause far more pain, hurt, and suffering—to others and to ourselves—when we stay silent and don’t fess up for the things we have done.

If there is something from your past or present that could use a good, honest look… and/or if there is an apology needing to be expressed to those who have been affected by your actions, now would be a good time to step forward, rise up, and be real about what happened.

Those conversations may be uncomfortable, but they are never as hard or as bad as we imagine it will be in our heads. People appreciate honesty. The sooner, the better. You’ve got this!

Love from Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: inability to own up to something you’ve done

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how inability to own up to something you’ve done applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 122 + 878 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “one-twenty-two plus eight-seventy-eight equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
