Why Change Feels Hard (Even When You Want It)

Jac: Change is often something we typically think of as happening to us. However, we know that God wants us to act, instead of be acted upon. We have a great responsibility to make changes happen in our own lives and in our communities. But it’s not always that simple.

Jeri: That is so true. I had a recent conversation with someone who has been struggling with low energy. I have talked to him several times about foods that fuel the body with energy. He will reply, “Oh yeah, when I’ve done that in the past I felt a lot better…”

Yet, it is difficult for him to do the work to make those changes happen.

Jac: I think we can all relate to that on some level, because we all have varying degrees of an addiction to comfort. It’s human nature to want to take the easy route instead of treading the difficult path of creating and maintaining change in our lives, even when we know it would be the best thing to do.

Jeri: It’s a form of self-sabotage to not be willing to do that kind work.

Jac: Indeed! The overwhelm is real, and it often kicks us straight into survival mode. And since we aren’t meant to live in survival mode and we tend to stay stuck there anyway, it becomes more of a victimized self-sabotage cycle.

This is a space where it’s impossible to adapt to positive changes in your life.

Jeri: So how do we break free?

Jac: Simple. Rewire your brain for healing by clearing emotions tied to past trauma. I love that studies are beginning to show that emotional release is a very effective way to rewire your brain.

If you are ready to stop the self-sabotage and teach your body how to better adapt to change, see the dose of enlightenment below!

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: unable to adapt to change

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how unable to adapt to change applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 100 + 900 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “one hundred plus nine hundred equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
