Why Survival Mode Can Drain Your Hope—and How to Escape It

She existed in survival mode. The difficulties that had been heaped upon her and her family had been piling on for quite some time.

But something had changed. I’d never seen her like this before.

She had always managed to find the silver lining. But not anymore.

She had become convinced that God was out to get her…

She refused to try any of the things that I’ve recommended to people over the years that have helped them shift their perspectives and rediscover their hope.

There wasn’t even one tiny little thing that she find gratitude for—nothing that she could see the positivity or sweetness in.

The things that had previously brought her joy during hard times, didn’t work.

She said snarky things to people offering kindness, because she thought they were judging her harshly and were out to get her too.

She told me she had decided that if people wanted to see her, they would just have to deal with her the way she was because she wasn’t going to pretend anymore.

When she came in for some healing work… Well, she couldn't actually receive the work I did, because she didn’t believe in good things happening for herself anymore.

That’s got to be the darkest place.

So many things can impact our lives. People are dealing with really hard things these days—and not just one at a time.

Survival mode is an instinct to keep you safe and alive, but it’s not meant to be a place where you take up residence.

The longer you stay in survival mode, the harder it is to hold onto hope.

There’s a dose of enlightenment below to help you start seeing the sweetness of life again. It’s 100 percent possible to find joy in the middle of really hard stuff!!!

And gratitude is key. So… see that dose of enlightenment and start practicing gratitude! You’ll be amazed at the shift it will have on your attitude.

Love from Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: not seeing the sweetness in life

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how not seeing the sweetness in life applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 46 + 954 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “forty-six plus nine-fifty-four equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
