You’re Breathing… But Are You Truly Alive?

I finally had a moment to myself and decided to take a deep, much-needed breath.

The intended breath came… but it wasn’t deep.

All I could feel were restrictions in my chest and abdomen.

It was so uncomfortable that a little bit of panic started to rise.

And it got me thinking about all of you, because I know you’ve felt that way at times too.

Let me ask you something:
Are you really breathing right now?

I don’t mean the automatic kind—the shallow, upper-chest, just-enough-to-survive kind.

I mean the kind of breath that brings you back to life.
The kind that softens your jaw. Drops your shoulders.
The kind that reconnects you with yourself.

Most of us are living on borrowed breath.
We’re rushing, bracing, holding tension—
without even realizing we’ve stopped receiving the one thing that’s free and always available:
the breath of life.

Here’s how to tell you’re not truly breathing:
– Your shoulders are tight by 10am
– You sigh often, but still feel wound up
– Your belly barely moves when you inhale
– You get through the day, but don’t feel in it

If that’s you, you’re not broken.
You’re just disconnected from your rhythm.

The breath is more than oxygen.
It’s presence.
It’s permission.
It’s a built-in reset button we forget to press.

Here’s a gentle way back:
👉 Put one hand on your belly. One on your heart.
👉 Breathe in slowly through your nose.
👉 Feel the rise. Feel the fall.
👉 Do it again. Just once is enough to start.

This is how you remember:
You’re not just surviving.
You’re allowed to feel safe.
Held. Alive.

Because the breath of life was never gone—
It was just waiting for you to return.

If you want to go one step further (and I highly recommend you do)...
Take a moment to ask:
Why am I not truly breathing right now?

Then scroll down for today’s Dose of Enlightenment to clear what’s in the way.

Love from Jac

Since we promised to treat you to an extra dose of light in your inbox, we include a Dose of Enlightenment for you at the end of each newsletter. We value your agency, so it’s up to you whether or not you receive it!

This Dose of Enlightenment is a frequency equation meant to clear a hidden and trapped emotion that you’ve been holding onto.

If today's emotion is one that we have already cleared, know that we are addressing a different layer or situation this time.

*******************************************************

Today’s emotion is: not breathing the “breath of life”

How does this emotion apply to you? For best results, ponder this question and identify how not breathing the “breath of life” applies to you.

Dose of Enlightenment: 76 + 924 = E

Say it out loud with intent: “seventy-six plus nine-twenty-four equals enlightenment.”

Breathe. Let it go. Feel the shift. Allow your body to be filled with light.
